Mingo working

Leslie had contacted us when the pups were about 3 weeks old.  We had constant contacts with Leslie with information on 'How to choose a dog for SAR'; communicating by phone & mail.  She is a great person with the same ideas on everything concerned - evaluation, care & training.  David & I were thrilled to work with Leslie.

A litter of 11 pups, it was not long before we had two B/W males choosen.  From the two there was something different about 'one' that had a higher score for SAR.  We now called him 'MINGO'.  The other was called 'Charlie' that went to a local farm couple.  As years went by we had heard many great stories on both E.S.'s.  Charlie saved the life of the farmers wife.  She was in the pasture/barnyard with Charlie to gather the cows in the barn for milking when the young bull attacked her/knocking her to the ground when Charlie intervened by barking/biting/chasing away the bull til the lady rolled away under the fence not injuried - a big thanks to Charlie he saved her life.

We have heard many wonderful great stories from Leslie & Mingo's rescues.  Leslie was very devoted & bonded to her English Shepherd never forgotten.

Leslie has our very deepest sympathy;
Theresa M. & David J. Kaschak
